I am available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and anytime on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, for approximately 20-25 hours a week. I feel I can play an active role helping you and your children.
Last year I completed the Higher School Certificate, and now attend full time university at Macquarie, doing a Bachelor Degree of Psychology (Honours).
After completion of my psychology degree, it is my goal to be a child psychologist, as I have a very positive view of children and wish to assist them in their development.
At Macquarie University, I choose electives suitable to gain insight into child development, play and education. I have completed the course "Play and Inquiry in Early Childhood", which has provided me with necessary skills to provide an educational and enjoyable atmosphere for children. Furthermore, I have also completed a university unit in “Developmental Psychology” which focuses on children as they grow and learn.
I have had four years practical experience working with children aged 0-8 from two different families. Additionally I have worked with children through basketball coaching in 2006. I have special qualifications in senior first aid, royal life saving, and have had further practical experience working with children with disabilities in a primary school setting (Jasper Road Primary School Special Unit).
I am responsible and hard working, and will be willing to provide children with time, dedication and care. I have leadership skills which were developed as I was Senior Leader in my final year of high school. I am interested in physical activity, a range of sports, arts and crafts. I am a non smoker, I have my own mode of transportation (car) and am available for casual work.
