My name is Miranda, I'm a qualified primary teacher who has had an interesting career thus far, and I am looking for more part time work to take over my current work as a commercial model. I'm early in a pregnancy (due June 2017) which means modelling work has eased off for me.... not everyone wants a bump! I will most likely take on some days as a relief teacher over the next few months , but wouldn't mind mixing it up with some nannying and taking care of 1-3 children rather than a classroom of 28!
My employment history is largely dance and dance-teaching, as well as modelling. I gained a Diploma in Performing Arts in 2008, and completed my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2015. I have also had a variety of part time work through my teen years as a waitress, a retail assistant (pet shops) and babysitting.
I grew up in Hobart, and moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in performing arts at the age of 18, which saw me performing in Melbourne and teaching students from ages 3 - 18 in curricular and co-curricular positions at schools in SE suburbs of Melbourne. A turn of career saw me modelling in South East Asia for over 2 years, full time whilst commencing my BA Primary Education simultaneously online. I am now based back in Melbourne modelling with Vivien's Model Management, mostly shooting family brands (eg. Target, QANTAS Bonds) and a lot of TV commercials.
I live in Brunswick East with my gentle little Cavoodle, Charlie and my architect husband Chris. My husband has his own architecture and lighting business, as well as tutoring at RMIT University part time. I also run the media for this practice... you can see their Instagram which ( @archier_ ).
I've worked with children as a dance teacher, and throughout my studies on internships as a primary teacher, and have regularly babysat my 10 month old nephew since he was 3 weeks old. I have also completed my full First Aid included anaphalaxis, CPR and education/care settings (babies and children). Non-smoker for life. I have a full car licence and I drive a Golf VW. I have also had a lot of experience with dogs and you can see how well trained and calm my Cavoodle is in case you'er also parents to a dog!
