  • Nanny or Au Pair 35 hr/week in Beautiful Rosebay Sydney [Posted by: Simone S in Sydney, New South Wales]   Posted on 23-Jan-2018
Pay: Negotiable ( must be at least the minimum legal award rate )
30-35 hours per week / $250-300 plus room/board or $25 per hr live- out Hi and welcome to our family! We are a warm and welcoming family of 2- mum and 6 year old boy. We need your help as a member of our home but also want you to have a great time, because Sydney is a fantastic city and there is so much to discover! We live in one of the best suburbs in Sydney- super close to the harbour and the beach; lovely houses and parks; and close to beautiful views! We are 20 minutes drive from the centre of the city, 15 minutes from bondi junction and 10 minutes from Bondi Beach. We have had a few au pairs come to our home and it has been a fantastic. Aaron and I really enjoy meeting au pairs who come from different countries and backgrounds and it’s our pleasure to welcome you into our home. Aaron loves having an au pair- like an older sister- to read, play and laugh with. I am a single working mum practicing as a medical physician/doctor in Bondi Beach and Double Bay (2 of Sydney’s suburbs). Aaron is a gorgeous, loving, friendly, and bright boy who loves reading books, playing lego, performing drama, dancing and playing with his fluffy bunnies. I am super-organized and quite relaxed; with the 2 of us the house can be quite chilled out/stress free and less hectic/busy than it would be with a large family. We have a house cleaner that comes 5 hours/week so there is no heavy cleaning needed. Your role will be to help Aaron in the morning and after school/evening and to help with laundry and light cooking mainly. You will also need to help Aaron with some of his home work for school. We are looking for an au-pair to be with us at least 6 months. We really need a friendly, genuine, caring, good-hearted, responsible and motivated person to join us in our home to be an extra set of hands and to be part of our family. You will have a spacious furnished room in a large 4 bedroom house in one of the best streets of Rosebay (Eastern Suburbs of Sydney). You will get all meals and free wifi and use of a land line phone. We have a garden, a swimming pool; our home is located 2 minutes away from public transport. We are a 10 minute walk from Sydney Harbor and a 20 minute walk from Bondi Beach. We need help approximately 30-35 hours per week (Monday-Friday: 6:30-9:30am and 4/4:30-7:30pm; Sunday 5-7:30pm). If you can do some babysitting also that would be great. Driver’s license preferred but not essential. We love healthy home cooked food. We cook a few times a week simple, but healthy! We need sometime who also wants to help cook healthy food to share with us. We are a Jewish family and keep to some Jewish dietary requirements called “Kosher”- it means we buy/cook only kosher food. If you don’t know much about kosher food, please do not hesitate to ask. I work 40 hours a week but I’m home a lot to help Tuesday and Thursday, so those days are quite relaxed. Aaron has school 5 days and swimming and reading lessons once a week. We like playing at home, gardening, exercising, watching TV, cooking, movies, walking, and spending time with friends. On Saturdays we play at home or go to Synagogue which is like a church. On Sunday’s I work in the office and Aaron stays with his dad. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you.

  • Looking for a live-out nanny for two boys [Posted by: Michael K in Sydney, New South Wales]   Posted on 15-Jan-2018
Pay: Negotiable ( must be at least the minimum legal award rate )
We are looking for someone to regularly do 20 hours a week to help us care for our two boys - 7 years old and 4 years old. We would need you to pick the boys up - for the 7 year old this would typically be around 3:15pm (depending on after school activities) and for 4 year old around 5pm. As the 7 year old is in school he will need help with completing his homework. You would need to prepare and give the boys their dinner around 5:30pm. We will typically be home in time for the bedtime routine of bath, brushing teeth and story time. You will be free after 7pm. We would consider an au-pair as well but the hours would be different. We have had au-pairs in the past.
