Hi, we recently moved to Brisbane from Perth. I am Russian but live in Australia for 7 years. I have two boys 4 and 5 years old, they go to Montessori school in Fig Tree Pocket. I am looking for part time job ( school hours) in this area.
- Gemma H - 23 year old Female Last logged on 29-Jun-2015
My name is Gemma. I'm a 19 year old female who loves Kids (and pets!!). I am a responsible person and mature for my age, with various prior experience in caring for young children.
Last year I worked in a Relief Teacher's Aide role at a special needs school, as well as an OSHC assistant in a mainstream Primary School. I left these jobs in order to begin full time study (Diploma of Justice) and got a job as a respite carer which had more flexible hours that suited my needs as a student perfectly. I am still working in this role at the family's home two nights a week, and I love it. There are 6 children- ages 7, 6, 5, 3, 18 months and 5 months. One of the children has Downs Syndrome, so I do have experience caring for children with similar disability, however I do not have any medical training aside from standard CPR and First Aid.
MY duties include playing with the kids, bathing and dressing them, tidying the home (I am happy to tidy up all rooms, not just the kid's rooms) Washing dishes, helping with homework if needed, feeding the toddler if needed, preparing snacks (sanwiches/drinks etc- I will try my hand at cooking if you want, but I'm not very experienced in this area!)and accompanying the family on outings if needed.
The reason I am advertising for another job is that as of December 1, 2011, I will no longer be studying and will therefore be in need of more hours than the current family is able to give me. I am, however, hoping to begin a Bachelor of Speech Pathology course as of March 01 2012, so I am only looking for full time work in between these dates. Having said that, I'd love to stay on for casul work outside of these dates if you want to keep me!
I have not studied anything to do with childcare at TAFE or uni, but I do have a blue card and a variety of experience!
I'd also like to point out that I have indicated on this form that I don't own a vehicle; this is because I don't currently own my own car, however I do have my lisence and am hoping to buy a car very soon. In the meantime I often am able to get a lend of my parent's car.
Thank's for taking the time to read my profile, I hope to hear from you soon!
- Chantal C - 44 year old Female Last logged on 29-Jun-2015
As a mum to a healthy and happy 16-year-old daughter, I have 'been there and got the t-shirt'! :)
I'm a copywriter who has recently left the corporate workforce and am currently writing on a freelance basis. I'm also a published author and illustrator of a children's picture book and am currently working on new kid's books, so am looking for work to do around these activities and, as being around young children inspires this work, I'm seeking supplementary child-minding/nanny opportunities close to Indooroopilly, my home-base (I use public transport).
I have a natural affinity for children of all ages - I know how to have fun and facilitate learning through play. Being a writer and artist, I particularly enjoy engaging children through storytelling and art/craft, so I will keep your little one/s stimulated, entertained and happy!
My rates are negotiable from $20 per hour for simple nanny duties to $25/$30 per hour including additional duties such as light cleaning and cooking. (And I'm a bit of a kitchen alchemist and neat-freak, so if duties include cooking I can guarantee deliciousness with clean counters afterwards!)
I have not formally worked as a nanny, although being a mum and babysitter-on-call for friends and family for many years, I know the drill and am highly competent and reliable. With two nursing sisters in my family, I have a solid knowledge of health issues and first-aid, but am happy to take a first-aid course should this be a firm requirement and I do have a current police clearance if required.
Please don't hesitate to give me a shout if you'd like to discuss opportunities - looking forward to hearing from you! :)

- Claire B - 18 year old Female Last logged on 29-Jun-2015
I'm a caring, empathetic, responsible and rational young woman who has plenty of experience caring for children from ages 3 weeks - 12 years of age. I can connect easily with children and am able to form supportive relationships that help their growth. I am creative with activities and have been taught how to teach basic reading levels. I cared for three children (3 weeks old, 3 years old, and 4 years old) 10 hours a day for 5 days a week for 3 months; this was a nanny job which involved me being alone with them for the majority of the day, attending to all their needs and creating fun educational activities to stimulate them. I am very capable of doing housework and volunteer as a food-prep worker at a local soup kitchen, which means I am very capable of cooking and preparing food; as well as maintaining high levels of hygiene. I am capable of changing nappies, bath time, reading, cleaning, and putting kids to bed. At the moment I am looking for Friday/Saturday/Sunday night work, as well as evening work during the week. I am available all evenings, and all day Wednesday and Friday. I am looking for both a regular position and casual work based on your needs. Please feel free to call, email, or text me from my profile with any questions you have. I'm a friendly, fun and intelligent young woman.

I am an experienced live-in and live-out nanny, with several years of caring for young children, with excellent references.
I have specialised in infants and toddlers, as so many important milestones happen in the early years, but have experience with all ages ( both as a nanny and childcare worker ) I have the Diploma in Childcare from TAFE.
I am patient, caring, flexible and try to focus on activities for the children that they are interested in and enjoy.
All the children I have cared for have turned out to be very happy, fun and well behaved, with excellent language and social skills.
- Becky C - 32 year old Female Last logged on 26-Jun-2015
A qualified teacher, I have 7 years teaching experience including 3 years on a rural cattle property in Central Queensland. I am confident working with children of all ages although recently I have been working casually with toddlers.
I am extremely passionate about the early years and development of all areas from speech and language, physical, emotional, behavoural and educational. A strength of mine is knowing my children very well and understanding where they are at. Communication between myself and parents is very important and I am always keen to share the children's achievements with parents and make sure everyone is reading from the same page. If you're not interested in knowing where your child is at and what new things they are achieving then I'm probably not the right person for you.
I believe it is important for children to get out in their environment and would be keen to take children on outings most days, to socialise with others and learn new skills.
I am a native English speaker but also speak Spanish and Portuguese so I would be happy to introduce these languages to your children at your request. I also have a cert iv in fitness which includes working with children and I recognise the importance of developing both fine and gross motor skills on a daily basis. I also have experience working with a range of disabilities.
I am looking to work 3 long days per week (30 hours) split over 1 or 2 families but I am not interested in split shifts or short shifts on a permanent basis. I'm also happy to do casual evening work with prior agreement. Although I live Northside, I would be prepared to travel (within reason) for the right job. I have my own car which has 3 x anchors for child seats.
$25 per hour (plus fuel allowance if using own car), First aid, Blue card, Public liability insurance, own car and insurance

My name is Alexandra and I am from Spain.
I came to Brisbane to months ago to practice my English language, and right now I am looking for a job.
I'd describe myself as a friendly, cheerful but also commited person, who enjoys spending time with kids taking my job really seriously, at the same time.
I am a psychologist and a couple's therapist but, back home, I was also a 2-10 year-old-kids nanny. Some of them were children who could not go to school because of their medical conditions, so I have experience giving medication, doing homeschooling, cooking...
I also worked in two shelters taking care of miners whose parents weren't at the territory (most of them were from Morocco).
Finally I also did school-booster to 6 to 16 year old kids.
Because of my student visa I can only work 20 hours per week, but I can also do casual babysittings.
Right now I'm getting my Blue Card and I haven't got my own car or international driving license, but I get arround quite efficiently.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.

- Katherine D - 28 year old Female Last logged on 08-Jun-2015
Hello, I am a very caring and patient young lady and I have industry experience in Europe and Australia.
I have recently returned to Australia from Greece, where I worked as a nanny for 4 different families (a total of 10 children). I began as a full-time nanny for 2 children (ages 2 and 4) and as the youngest child grew older and went to pre-school, I stayed as a part-time nanny and was approached by other families to care for their children in the mornings, evenings and weekends. I cared for infants as young as 13 months and children as old as 7 years.
My jobs included feeding, changing, bathing and teaching English through fun and age-appropriate activities. I was in charge of taking the kids to playgroups, dance lessons, language lessons, the swimming pool, the beach, the park and parties. I enjoy organising activities that help the children's development in all aspects. Such activities include Physical play; arts and craft; card games/ Board games/ puzzles; Dress-ups and building blocks.
I am currently studying "Children's Services" (early childcare) and I believe childcare is a very rewarding career path.
I have a Blue Card and First Aid and can provide referees/ reference letters. I am looking for a part-time or full-time position and I have full availability. I also have a current driver's license, clean driving record and my own car.
I have also studied in Acting and Dance, and to a lesser extent Singing and Piano. My hobbies include painting, art, yoga and sports. I am dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and try to teach the children in a fun way (eg. "Why don't we go kick a ball outside instead of watching tv"; "When we eat our vegetables/meat and drink our water, our bodies help up to become big and strong, like Superman"). As I am quite artistic and theatrical, I found myself very well suited to child-care work. I have been referred jokingly to as "the Pied Piper of children" because it seems every child loves spending time with me.

- Sarah H - 26 year old Female Last logged on 02-Jun-2015
I have unexpectedly landed in Brisbane for a month or so before I move to New Zealand.
I am extremely experienced with multiple types of childcare including au pair work, tutoring, sports coach (netball and Tae-Kwon Do), baby sitting and working in a nursery.
I enjoy crafts and baking but also I'm happy running around outside and playing sports, I just generally enjoy spending time and having fun with kids. I am also pretty capable with homework help (except geography, I'm rubbish with geography :)), especially maths and science.
I appreciate I am only available for a short time but that should take you up to the school holidays, or give you time to interview and hire your perfect long term Au Pair⁄nanny. My visa doesn't actually expire until the end of July so for the right family I could do until the end of the holidays.
I don't have my own car anymore, so looking for somewhere with great public transport, preferably in East Brisbane⁄Wooloongabba⁄Coorparoo⁄Kangaroo Point⁄Norman Creek⁄New Farm or surrounding areas.
I have a full, clean licence, and am happy driving manual or automatic. I had police checks back in the UK, I don't have an Australian one but they check for your visa and it was approved. I have great Australian references and also British ones if needed.
I am available now and as it's a very short term arrangement I am willing to negotiate on salary.
If you need any more info or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me by call⁄text or message.

50 year old female babysitter and nanny
My name is Christine and I am a mother of three grown children and grandmother to three little ones.
I love kids as they’ve brought so much joy to my life and I’ve been lucky to have worked with children for more than 20 years. During this time I’ve had extensive experience with kids aged 0-15 years old.
I have formal childcare qualifications from TAFE as well as a life’s worth of personal hands-on experience from raising my own three children as well professional experience having been a primary school teacher’s aide for 13 years.
In addition to my love of and experience in tending to children, I also have a particular interest and extensive knowledge of childhood development.
With children who are in my care when I’m nannying, I have found great success in engaging the kids in conversation and tailoring activities to suit them – this can be anything from riding their bikes, to playing on the swings, to cooking and crafting. My goal is always to make sure our time together is both special and beneficial. Having 20+ years experience in the field of Early Childhood I see myself as a professional career nanny and not as a fly by night carer wanting easy cash. I understand the challenges involved in raising children (having been a ‘mum’ to many!) including stages of weaning children onto solid foods, toilet training, discipline, separation anxiety and school readiness and right up to High School. I feel this will benefit any family whom which decides to appoint me as their nanny. I take my role as nanny/educator seriously and prefer to undertake positions that will enable me to establish a relationship with a family for the long term benefit of all involved.
I am a responsible individual, hard working and reliable willing to undertake whatever tasks necessary to maintain a harmonious balance with the family home.
I also like to spend time with you as parents in those early stages so that I can learn what’s important to you during the time that I have with your children – I’m happy to maintain any established routines and work within the parameters you set.
Of course I have a Blue Card and first aid and can offer glowing references from the families for whom I’ve worked.
Looking for: Casual Evening Babysitting, Casual Weekend Babysitting, Full-time Daytime Work, Overnight Stays
Education Status: Course Complete - Early Childcare at Cooloola TAFE
Other Skills: Arts and crafts, games. I find an interest in anything to do with children and child's play
Residency status: Permanent

Hey there, I am an English guy travelling here in Australia looking to do some rewarding child care work. I have been a hands on uncle since the age of 12. With my 5 nephews and nieces the eldest being 19 now and the youngest 6 I have experience of looking after boys and girls of all ages. Have been changing nappies for years. I have done a lot of babysitting for friends and before I left home I worked in a primary school as a lunch time assistant, which was just part time but such a rewarding job and I have even managed to stay in touch with my assigned class showing them the journey I have been on through Asia to show them what adventures are possible when you grow up. I would love to spend some of my time here in Australia being a part of a family's life as I have the patience to teach children but also the excitement to learn from them to.

I´m from Argentina. I'm going to Brisbane, Australia, in April, to study the english language. I had a good level of english but I need to practice to advance, also your child can learn spanish if you like. Is for that reason that I'll need a job because I'm going to stay a long term.
I am very patient with children and am also very responsible towards them.
When I work with children I prepare recreation activities, games and educational games. Also, sometimes, I organize activities like go to the theatre, the circuses, go to walk and play in the squares, etc. I love to care kids, play with them, sing songs, dancing, painting, etc.
_ I started working with children three years ago. I worked in a Foundation caring a group of children, 5 to 7 children, with entertainment games (recreation activities) for children around 5 to 12 years old, for 3 to 4 hours per day, where differents activities were developed: dance, theatre, games, drawings, cooking, handicrafts, storytelling etc.
_ I also organized trips for children in the same foundation, where they visited different artistic and cultural places from Buenos Aires ( the zoo, the planetarium, circuses, theater, etc).
_ I worked in a family house as a nanny, in the Province of Buenos Aires, taking care of the two little girls, Isabella of one year old and Camila of seven years old, in the afternoon. I helped with homework, playing with girls and preparing food and arrangement of the bedrooms.
I consider myself a nice person, trustworthy and friendly. In my free time entertain myself sometimes, reading, drawing, painting and crocheting. Also I love writing, sometimes I do yoga or play the piano. I like going for walks, go to the squares, etc.
I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you and to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences and to show to you all the references of my jobs that I have.

After my diploma in engineering, I helped six children with their homework. It's very interesting to help them to solve a problem on different topics : for the mathematics or chemistry for example. Besides, I saw their progress and it's very satisfying for them and their parents but also for me. I think it's very rewarding to care for children.
