To whom it may concern, I wish to apply for a position as a nanny/sitter for your children. Having just completed my International Baccalaureate (IB) at Carey Baptist Grammar School (in which I became semi-fluent in French), I have very flexible working hours: I am available to work from Monday-Sunday until March, by which I will receive my university timetable. Regardless, I will be available to sit for your children around my university timetable. On top of this, I can tutor your children (if needed) and help them with their homework - I received an atar of 96.5. I have been a nanny/ child sitter for 2 years for several children randing from 3-12 years old. I am a reliable, disciplined and honest individual who can take care, and entertain, your children. I have a successful track record of taking full charge of children in the absence of parents. My relevant expertise includes preparing and serving nutritious meals, entertainment, preparing bottles, bathing, transporting children to and from school by foot, and keeping them engaged while developing them physically and mentally. Above all, I know how to keep the kids safe and amused in different healthy ways. I would appreciate if you give me the opportunity to sit/nanny for your children, and I assure you that I will provide top service for them. My teachers and my employees have always commended me for my high level of interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and naturally engaging personality. I can assure you that if hired to work with your children, I am very reliable and will never cancel my shifts. Looking forward for a positive reply. Thank-you for your time and consideration.

  • Carly M - 36 year old Female   Last logged on 12-Jan-2017

Hello I am a reliable, trustworthy, energetic and a highly responsible mother of two, who loves children of all ages. I am very efficient and love to tidy and cook healthy meals for children, also happy to run errands, assist with household management and organisation, etc. I am a married mother myself of two beautiful, energetic boys, a 2-year-old and a 3.5-year-old and also keep in line a wonderful 38-year-old husband who at times is a very much a child too. I have the experience you need from a career of your young children and understand how to manage the situations only a parent does, such as how to manage kids fighting over toys, when play goes beyond fun and goes too far. I know when kids are hot or cold, and my experience makes me think about dangers in their environment such as do they need sun block and can articulate with youngsters why playing with that stick is not a good idea and why you shouldn't go near that dog. Motherhood gives you great experience which saves a lot of hassles such as knowing when they need to go to the toilet, how to do potty training, how to important naps are and how the to get them to happen. I know about the serious stuff too, such as how to comfort and mange a child with colds, flu's, fevers and injuries and the worst case when it's serious and how to assess it and when to call-on extra support such as nurse on-call or an ambulance. I know how to project control and get respect and yet still be fun and playful. I know when kids are trying it on or trying to manipulate a situation especially when it comes to bedtime. I over the past 20 years I have worked both in the after-school care sector for pre-school and primary aged children. Ideally, you'll get the most of my experience looking after younger children, but I'm happy to look after children from 6 months to 12 years. I am happy to organise dinner/baths, supervise homework, read stories or play games. Whatever your family requires or routine maybe. I'm available for regular and casual positions and would love the opportunity to care for your children and support your family. Thank you for your consideration.

I have a keen interest in developmental psychology, and am looking to work alongside children as I complete my next 6+ years of study. I am ideally looking to make a long-term commitment to the right family, and provide your children with safe and nurturing care, as well as genuine friendship as they continue to grow up. I have 6 years experience babysitting for both single children and larger families. Additionally, I have accompanied families on their holidays with friends, where I have lead day and nighttime activities for groups of 10+ children. I have also achieved great success in my school and university studies (ATAR of 98.7), so can offer assistance with your child's homework, should this interest you. I am also a keen cook so can offer to make your children nutritious and wholesome meals, or if you'd like, I'm more than happy to have them get involved and to teach them some kitchen skills. During school term, I am available for after school care during the week (days negotiable), full day care on Mondays and Fridays, as well as weekends and most evenings. If you are interested in occasional overnight stays, support on public holidays, or even full-time care during the school holidays, I would be more than happy to offer my services here as well. • Alice D - 25 year old Female   Last logged on 09-Dec-2016

Hello families, I'm from England and have recently come back over to Australia on my second working holiday visa (couldn't stay away for long!) Having spent most of my first year travelling, I have decided to settle in Melbourne for the next 6 months, or so, to experience the true culture and lifestyle. For the past 2 years in England, I have regularly looked after children for 4 different families. This included school pick-ups, taking to after-school activities, care during summer holidays and evening babysitting. The ages of the children ranged from 3-12 years old. Last year I was Au pair to a 15-month-old boy who was an absolute joy to care for, for 3 months in the hunter valley NSW. The family of whom I became very close to and still keep in regular contact. In fact, I have formed great friendships with all the families I have helped out. During this time as an Au pair, I also regularly looked after an 8-week-old girl for another family during the day's when the little boy was at daycare. I have an affinity for children and animals (I studied a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at university) and so I also have no problem in caring for any pets you may have in the household. I am also willing to do any light household duties if you require. I'm looking for full/part time nanny or babysitter work, the hours of which can be flexible! I'm very easygoing and adaptable. However, I am also responsible and reliable. I'm passionate about health, fitness and nutrition and in the future I hope to study a postgraduate diploma in dietetics and nutrition with the goal of becoming a specialised pediatric dietician. If there is anything else you would like to know, please do get in touch! I look forward to hearing from you :)

Hi there, my name is Rosie and I have arrived in Australia after working in Berlin for the last 3 and a half years as a nanny. Before then I have had numerous babysitting jobs since the age of 15. I began looking after Louie (aged 2 months old) for a professional family who mainly worked from home. My duties included feeding Louie, taking him for walks, reading and playing with him at home and putting him down for sleeps. Sometimes I would also look after his sister, Coco, as well. When Louie began Kindergarten at 1 year old I would often work evenings feeding the two children and putting them to bed while the parents were out. My other job nannying was looking after Hazel (aged 5 months). I would look after her while her mother worked and father was away on business. This job had similar duties: feeding Hazel, going for walks, putting down for naps, playing and reading. I would also take care of her sister Ruby as well and frequently took care of them in the evenings. During my time in Berlin I babysat for many families with children of all ages in the evenings or occasional shifts. In my spare time I enjoy seeing live music, film, literature, cretive writing and travelling when I can. I would be interested in gaining full time employment in Melbourne but would also consider part-time, occasional or evening work. Please contact me via email, SMS or phone so we can discuss further. Many thanks, Rosie

  • Kayla K - 19 year old Female   Last logged on 29-Nov-2016

Hi all! After deciding to put my university on hold for a year or so, I am looking for a family who needs a babysitter/nanny long-term. I have had a strong love for kids since a young age, with previous babysitting skills starting from 16 years old. I have previous babysitting experience with two main families. One had 3 kids, one aged 4 and the other two twins aged 7, and currently also babysit a family of 2, a 6 month old and a 4 year old, so I am happy to say I am confident with all ages. I have many key skills, assets and experience with children, being a basketball coach for 6-9 year old boys for quite a few years and starting babysitting about 4 years ago. The main thing I want to get out of this job is to also become a part of the family, someone who the kids and the parents trust and make sure the kids feel happy and safe while with me. I believe I am fun and friendly, reliable and am willing to do anything necessary that will help the kid(s) grow as individuals and have fun while in my presence. With my parents being divorced, I live in both Richmond and Bulleen, so have put Kew as my location as it is the middle suburb between the two. I am more than happy to travel up to 30 minutes from each of those locations, aswell as planning to be in the closer house when I know I will be needed to be with the kids that day/night.

I'm currently working at a local childcare center full time with children in the 0-3 year old room. I have my diploma of children's services, along with asthma and anaphylaxis and first aid certificates (up to date). Been working at the center for approx 4years and am excited for a new change. I have previous nanny experience, both as a live in and live out nanny. I have a care free, easy going, down to earth disposition and a caring nature. I really enjoy working closely with families but also love engaging independently with children. (Previous nanny roles have left me in sole care of small children for long hours/days.) I am a hard worker, and enjoy hands on experiences with children. So. I'm looking for work as a live in nanny. I'm seeking full time work, or work which would allow me to have a second job (family with children at school and only needing a nanny for before and after school hours). I am extremely flexible I would be able to start work in jan/feb 2016. If you are interested in hearing anymore information, please email me. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. :)

Dear families, I am an adventurous and responsible French girl who has decided to travel to Australia for 6 months to leave everydayís life comfort and discover a whole new country. Currently in a gap year, I am a student in a French Management school Studying for a Masters Degree. Why do I apply for a nanny job ? Obviously because I love children ! I've grown up in a family of 4 children. I am the second child so I used to take care of my little brother and little sister. I used to keep children during 9 years (aged from 6 months to 13 years old). I also used to teach piano to children. My friends see me as a pleasant, easy-going and caring person. I am a hard-working individual who easily adapts to all kind of environment. I am a good communicator and have good listening skills (mature, patient, responsible and positive attitude). I am an energetic person who likes to be busy. Cheers

Hi there, I'm Mel, I'm moving to Melbourne and would love to have a nannying job when I arrive. I have worked in early years education since 2009. Over my time in this field, I have worked with a variety of children, aged from birth to 6 years, from diverse backgrounds. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care obtained in 2015. I am highly experienced in caring for children aged 0-3, as most of my experience has been in younger age groups in long day care settings. I have cared for children with additional needs and twins throughout my employment. I would love to build a strong relationship with a family. I would prefer part time work of 3 days a week, but I am willing to negotiate for the right family. I look forward to hearing from you. I am passionate about respectful interactions with children and my preferred method of caring is using the RIE approach. I am a musician and an amateur artist and I would be more than happy to share these interests with your children. I am also very interested in Science and invoking children to think and discover through daily experiences. I have a Learner's licence and I am aiming to obtain my Provisional licence as soon as possible. As such, I would prefer to work somewhere close to public transport, close to Melbourne city. I would prefer a live-out situation.

Hi, my name is Abby. I live in Croydon and also have my drivers license and my own car so travelling would not be a problem at all! I studied in the United States for a year and a half without my family and that has allowed me to become much more independent. I can help keep things neat and tidy, cook up a pretty decent meal, do laundry or even help children with homework. I am also good with children, having 4 siblings and a huge family made me become a very patient and caring individual. Always willing to help and also very attentive and responsive. Feel free to shoot me a message or an email! Thanks, Abby
