  • After school nanny needed for 2 boys in Richmond [Posted by: Jen in Richmond, Victoria]   Posted on 16-Jan-2019
Pay: Negotiable ( must be at least the minimum legal award rate )
We have two gorgeous boys, age's 7 and 9 who need a nanny to collect them from school and look after them until we return from work. You will need to take them to after school sport, do homework with them, get them dinner and make sure they're bathed and ready for bed. There will be days where we may need you to stay later. Some house duties are required i.e. putting the washing on, dishes, etc but primarily you'll need to look after the kids. We're looking for someone long-term.

  • Seeking Nanny Thurs/Fri for 6 mth and 2yo in Richmond [Posted by: Kylie in Richmond, Victoria]   Posted on 16-Jan-2019
    Pay: 23
Pay per hour: $23-$25 depending on experience Our family is looking for a mature-minded nanny to join our family two days per week to help care for our boys, who are nearly 6 months and 2 years old. Days and hours of work: - Thursday 11am to 4pm (5 hours) - Friday 8am to 2pm (6 hours). We donít anticipate requiring more hours than described above, but the flexibility to work longer hours on occasion (organised in advance) would be greatly appreciated. Being available for occasional babysitting in the evenings would also be fantastic. We are looking for someone who: - is interested in a long-term position - has previous experience working as a nanny or in childcare with infants and toddlers - has a working with children check and first aid training - is a non-smoker - is a permanent resident or citizen (sorry to the travel visa nannies, but we require someone long-term) - has an Australian drivers licence - is able to provide the details of two references - is a reliable, happy and relaxed person who hopefully shares some common interests with Mum and Dad. About us: We live in an apartment that overlooks the city. Mum and Dad are happily married professionals. Mum is a psychologist and is returning to work in the city 3 days per week (Tues/Wed/Fri). Dad works full time and runs his own architecture/building business, which is located across the road from our home. Dad is able to pop home for lunch and can easily come home in the event of an emergency. Both our boys are happy and affectionate kids with placid temperaments. The boys both attend day care two days a week (Tues/Wed) and are well socialised. Our youngest son (nearly 6mths) is happy playing on the floor, chewing on teether toys, sitting in the bouncer, playing games that help his development (sitting up, reaching for toys, playing peek-a-boo, etc), being involved with reading books together and having a cuddle. His main needs are having someone pay him attention and feeding. Our oldest son (nearly 2yo) has lots of toys to play with and is good at entertaining himself. He loves to play with his toy animals, cars, ride-on toys, throw the ball, dance to the Wiggles and read books together. He is becoming increasingly inquisitive as his language skills continue to grow and enjoys looking out of our apartment windows to spot the trains, cars, people, dogs and city buildings. Our oldest son would especially benefit from having someone to play with his building blocks, do puzzles and art work together and practice his words (counting, alphabet, etc). Duties include: - playing with the boys - basic meal prep for the boys (we will ensure they have meals in the fridge) - feeding the boys - light house duties (cleaning up dirty dishes, putting on washing machine/dryer, sorting laundry - if time permits). Mum will be at home on Thursdays but needs some assistance caring for the boys so she can run errands, go to appointments and get some work done around the house. In the afternoon, Mum needs some help taking the boys to a Gymbaroo class. This will require the nanny to travel in the car with Mum and the kids to a venue in Hawthorn and entertain each child for 45min while the other attends class with Mum (e.g. play outdoors, go for a walk in the pram). Mum and Dad will both be at work on Fridays, so you have the boys on your own. We appreciate that managing two young kids can be a juggling act, so we do not expect you to take them to the park or on outings on your own. However as the boys get older, if you would like to take them out to the park or on an excursion to the library, zoo or museum, we have a very good tandem pram and a car that is available for you to use. We do not have any family close by, so it is important for us to find someone who is reliable, a good fit for our family and who is interested in having a long-term role caring for our kids. We are located next to North Richmond train station and can offer on-site parking. Our building is secure and you will be given an access card to enter the building. If this position is of interest, please contact us.

  • Nanny/babysitter, 18 month old, Richmond [Posted by: Andrea in Richmond, Victoria]   Posted on 05-Jan-2019
Pay: Negotiable ( must be at least the minimum legal award rate )
We are a busy family of three looking for a nanny/babysitter for my 18 month old son. Looking for help with pick-up from daycare (10 min walk from home), bath time, meal time, meal prep for the family and bed time on some weekday nights and occasional one-off weekend nights. We have a preference for nannies that can speak Chinese so that my son can learn the language but will consider anyone who is reliable, hardworking, honest and good with young children. We don't have any pets.

  • Nanny needed from Feb | Wednesdays | Richmond location [Posted by: Claire in Richmond, Victoria]   Posted on 03-Jan-2019
    Pay: 25
Hi Nannies! Our family is looking for a mature nanny to join our family one day per week from Feb 2019. It would be caring for our two busy but fun little guys aged 5 in Feb and 2 in March every Wednesday approx. 8:15am-6:30pm. We're looking for someone ideally with 3+ years of experience as a nanny or worked in a childcare or school environment plus all the usual WWC and First Aid cert etc and hold either Permanent Residency or Citizen (sorry to the Travel Visa holders but need someone permanently based in Oz!) Both boys are outgoing and have engaged and curious personalities, they love playing and being silly but equally interested in sitting down to read a book or chatting about why and how things work. They generally need to burn off a bit of energy so love park visits, swimming, cooking, dancing, walking etc but also good sleepers. My husband and I both work FT in fairly demanding corporate jobs however we're pretty easy going and happy for a nanny to lead their way. We've had nannies before so comfortable with embracing someone into our household especially if they bring other interests. Equally, the boys are very adaptable with different people and well socialised - they also attend childcare/kinder 2 days a week so comfortable in the care of others beyond their Mum and Dad! We're based in Richmond with lots of great parks and cafes nearby. We also have a 2nd car that is sometimes available for use. Please reach out if this may be of interest as would love to hear back. Look forward to hearing from you!
